The rock placement work above the tunnel required the presence of large floating equipment near the St. Lawrence River navigation channel.<\/p>\n<p>Using its navigation simulator, the MSRC conducted a series of simulations with licensed pilots from the Corporation of Mid St. Lawrence Pilots to assess whether this work would affect the safety of vessel transits and manoeuvres.
