Mr. Rh\u00e9aume joined the MSRC on January 28 and will supervise the implementation of maritime expertise projects and provide his professional and administrative experience to the pilots in training.<\/p>\n<p>Louis Rh\u00e9aume is a graduate of the Institut maritime du\u00a0Qu\u00e9bec and holder of a Master Foreign Going Certificate. He was a pilot on the St. Lawrence River in the Quebec-Escoumins sector from 1984 to 2018, President of the Lower St. Lawrence Pilots Corporation from 1999 to 2001 and member of the Board of Directors of the Laurentian Pilotage Authority from 2006 to 2018. Mr. Rh\u00e9aume holds a major in marine transportation from the Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Rimouski (2002) and a certificate in intermodal transportation from the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CITT). A yachtsman in his spare time, Louis Rh\u00e9aume has, throughout his career, worked on numerous committees and working groups and enjoys an impressive reputation within the maritime community in Quebec and Canada.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe MSRC is delighted with the arrival of Mr. Rh\u00e9aume, an experienced pilot with a thorough knowledge of the Quebec maritime industry.\u201d said Mr. Racicot. \u201cMr. Rh\u00e9aume has an exceptional background.
