CSEM welcomes the PCU Cleveland crew

16 October 2025

The MSRC is pleased to welcome the Commanding Officer and officers of the PCU Cleveland (LCS 31) for training in navigation and ship handling, in preparation for a voyage from Lake Michigan, through the locks, and then down the St. Lawrence River to the Atlantic. The crew of the PCU Cleveland is the seventh group of this ship class to undergo this training at the MSRC.

The realism and graphic displays in the simulator helped my team increase their level of confidence in navigating these waterways and also dramatically improved our ship handling skill sets.

I would highly recommend the MSRC for all mariners operating on the Great Lakes, Welland Canal, and the St. Lawrence River.” says CDR Evan Wright, Commanding Officer of the PCU Cooperstown (LCS 23)
