The MSRC is pleased to welcome Iron Ore Canada (IOC) pilots for their first visit at our training centre. Earlier this week, they participated in the BRM-P course and were later joined by Ocean Group tug captains for training on Azimuthing propulsion systems.

This 3-day course enables navigators to become acquainted with the azimuthal mode of propulsion and acquire a good grasp of both the limitations and the advantages of this technology through tailor-made simulator exercises that reflect the participants’ geographical realities.

IOC’s commitment to safety in all its forms is exemplary and the MSRC is honoured to play a role in helping them maintain their high safety standards.
