The MSRC is very pleased to have attended last week’s 2019 EMPA Conference (European Maritime Pilots Association) in Liverpool and would like to thank the organizing committee for all their hard work in making this event possible.

The information a pilot must process while carrying out his or her duties is quite extensive: tides, currents, weather conditions, maritime regulations, just to name a few. These conferences facilitate discussions between pilots from around the world and provide a forum to share experiences and best practices.

One element that all pilots unequivocally agree on: continued training for marine pilots is an important factor in the solution to keep our waters safe. The MSRC is proud to be a part of that solution.
