Our director, Paul Racicot, was once again invited to give a presentation at the 26th International Maritime Pilots’ Association (IMPA) Congress, which was held in Rotterdam this year. The presentation, entitled Simulator : A Dual Purpose Tool, focused on the use of navigation simulators as the perfect communication tool to convey the realities and challenges of commercial shipping to maritime industry stakeholders and the general public. By applying their specific knowledge in a virtual environment, pilots can share their expertise to improve navigation safety and the development of new port infrastructures, while contributing to informed decision-making.
