The Port of Quebec Visits the Maritime Simulation and Resource Centre

18 March 2025

“ We had the privilege of visiting the Maritime Simulation and Resource Centre (MSRC), a world-class facility located in Quebec City, offering unique expertise in North America in maritime safety.

Accompanied by our CEO, Olga Farman, we were able to explore the four fully equipped navigation bridges that simulate interactive maneuvering scenarios with tugs and large piloted vessels.

This visit is part of our commitment to ensuring safe and efficient navigation in the Port of Quebec. Thanks to this cutting-edge technology, pilots and maritime professionals hone their skills in realistic conditions, directly contributing to the safety and efficiency of port operations.

The MSRC is a division of the Corporation des pilotes du Bas Saint-Laurent (CPBSL), whose mission is to ensure the continuing training of pilots and share this expertise with maritime professionals.

We would like to thank Paul Racicot, MBA, Director of MSRC, Simon Doré, President of CPBSL, Jean D’Aquila, CPA, Director General and Secretary-Treasurer, as well as Marie-Eve Lessard, trainer at MSRC, for their welcome and for sharing their valuable expertise which contributes to the success of maritime operations at the Port of Quebec. ”
