It is said that a bit of the St. Lawrence River flows through the veins of every Quebecer. In the case of the 185 pilots who command the ships that sail up or down the river between Montreal and Les Escoumins, this is particularly true.

These pilots share navigation on the river in three sections: between Montreal and Trois-Rivières, between Trois-Rivières and Quebec City and between Quebec City and Les Escoumins.
