The Vancouver Airport Fuel Delivery Project Marine Terminal is under construction in the Fraser River. Moffatt & Nichol commissioned the MSRC, in collaboration with the Fraser River pilots, to :

• Confirm the navigability of the proposed transit routes for an oil tanker under varying environmental and operational conditions, using 3D currents.
• Confirm confirm the navigability of the proposed turning area and berth pocket for the specified oil tankers.
• Identify the limiting environmental conditions, operational limits, and mitigation strategies.
• Determine the safest and most efficient manoeuvring procedures.
